STEVE DIMOWITZ

Steve has over 30 years of experience as an Organizational and Individual Transition expert, working extensively with privately held and family owned companies as well as top-tier Fortune 500 corporations. His company works with Senior Executives and their organizations, providing very specialized, structured, flexible and focused support. Steve has become a trusted advisor to executives from many of the top global CPG, Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Media and Entertainment firms including: Unilever, PepsiCo, Church & Dwight, Kraft, ALCOA, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Avon, Diageo, Revlon and American Express, as well as mid- to smaller-size private equity and privately owned companies, including: Seventh Generation, Burt’s Bees, Gehl Foods, Sturm Foods, Godiva Chocolatier, Hartz Mountain, The Specialty Food Association, Dr. Miracle’s, Claridge Natural Foods, The Sun Products Corporation, Everyday Health, Merisant and Prestige Brands.

His approach combines the pragmatism of a business partner, the insight and innovation of an educator and the communication focus of an alliance builder. Steve brings tremendous energy, dedication, passion and sometimes, a well-needed sense of humor to his work.

Steve is one of the most well connected professionals in the marketplace and over the past 30 years has developed an extensive network of executives that make themselves available to his clients. This gives Steve unique and valuable access into every sector of the current business landscape.

Prior to creating SDA in 2006, Steve held leadership positions at two career management firms where he developed and delivered innovative career management solutions. Earlier in his career, Steve was co-owner of an executive search firm.

He has written numerous articles on career transition and is a frequent speaker on career management issues for executive level networking groups and industry conferences throughout the New York Metro area. In addition, Steve volunteers his time to college students, assisting them in their future career development.

Steve lives in Stamford, CT.

STEPHEN P. NORMAN
BOARD GOVERNANCE

Stephen is the President of S.P. Norman & Company, LLC and leader of Steve Dimowitz & Associates Board Governance Practice. He is the former Secretary and Corporate Governance Officer of American Express Company, positions which he held for many years and under different Board Chairmen. He is a former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, the Chairman of two of its National Committees, a former member of the NYSE proxy Working Group and is a frequent speaker and panelist at corporate conferences and forums. He is currently a member of the 2009 NYSE Commission on Corporate Governance.

Since the early 1980’s Mr. Norman has played a prominent role in the evolution and implementation of the governance and shareholder relations practices of U.S. corporations

He has also been an innovator, authoring two new solutions for the securities industry:

Mr. Norman is a graduate of Yale University and University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

GLENN RAINES
LINKEDIN PROFILES / DIGITAL BRAND STRATEGY

Glenn works with SDA clients in developing and updating their LinkedIn profiles and overall online professional brand strategy. His detailed process includes conducting an initial “content audit” with each SDA client to surface unique value messaging and identification of key words to improve SDA client rankings in LinkedIn and Google search results to achieve attraction marketing goals. As a final step, Glenn manages content uploading and quality assurance of LinkedIn profile content on behalf of SDA clients as part of a completely turnkey service. He has created over 300 LinkedIn profiles for C-suite and upper management executives.

In addition to partnering with Steve, Glenn currently consults JPMorgan Chase global on their employee-facing websites covering 67 countries. Previously, Glenn worked with The Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of New York Mellon in developing their social thought leadership strategy to raise the visibility of their executive experts in corporate banking, global trade financing and wealth management. Earlier, Glenn served as VP, Internet Business Strategy at Citigroup where he led the relaunch of websites for their card portfolio.

Glenn’s early advertising agency career was spent in consumer brand promotions, CPG trade marketing and medical device marketing where he created integrated marketing programs for a diverse client roster ranging from Nestle USA to Baxter Healthcare. Glenn’s work as a creative strategist led him to qualitative research where he managed advertising research projects for such clients as McDonald’s and Turner Broadcasting where he helped shape brand messaging for the launch of The Cartoon Network.

In his spare time, Glenn is an avid digital art photographer and creative writer.

ELLEN GARCIA
DIRECTOR CLIENT OUTREACH

Ellen is a dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal, organizational and research skills gained from 15+ years working with senior level executives in their job search and networking activities. In these positions she has gained a unique experience in business research.

She plays a key role supporting SDA clients with their mailings to the marketplace, their networks and recruiters. She handles all technical matters relating to these activities. In addition she supports Alix with research support.

Since 1993 she has held various Research and Administrative Consultant positions to both individual executives as well as groups. Her experience includes: Library Consulting Services, LLC, The Executive Forum, The Marketing Executive Networking Group and Financial Executives International (CT, NYC and NJ Chapters). She earned her degree from The University of Bridgeport in 1983.
